Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a public advisory urging people living in countries that host United States military forces to remain at least 500 metres away from locations it says are being used by U.S. personnel.

In a statement released by its Public Relations Department, the IRGC advised residents to avoid what it described as the covert and residential quarters of American military personnel. The advisory comes amid heightened regional tensions and follows a series of warnings exchanged between Iran and the United States over military activities in the region.

The IRGC stated that if what it described as continued U.S. actions against Iran persist, retaliatory measures targeting American personnel would remain under consideration. It further claimed that some U.S. officers and troops had moved from established military bases into residential and urban areas, though no evidence was provided to support the assertion.

The statement also appealed to the public across the region to report the locations of any newly identified U.S. military personnel or facilities. According to the announcement, such information should be submitted through the IRGC Public Relations Department’s official communication channels, including its Telegram account and the contact portal on its official website.

The warning follows repeated claims by the IRGC that it has carried out strikes against U.S. military positions in neighbouring countries. At the same time, U.S. authorities have also previously issued advisories urging civilians to avoid areas surrounding military facilities because of the potential risks associated with ongoing regional tensions.

Security analysts say the latest statement reflects the continued strain between Iran and the United States, with both sides maintaining heightened security measures amid concerns over further escalation. The exchange of warnings highlights the fragile security environment across the Middle East, where military installations and strategic locations remain under close watch.

Governments and security agencies in the region continue to monitor developments closely as diplomatic and military tensions persist, while residents are being urged to follow official guidance issued by their respective national authorities regarding public safety.
