Muharram Gatherings Continue in Calgary as Dr. Salman Turabi Highlights the Legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Hussain (AS)

Calgary, Alberta: Muslims around the world are observing the sacred month of Muharram-ul-Haram with devotion, reflection, and remembrance. In Calgary, members of the Muslim community gathered on the 3rd of Muharram at the Bab Ul Hawaij Islamic Centre to commemorate the sacrifices of the family of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and to renew their commitment to the values of faith, justice, and humanity. Dr. Turabi stressed that the values demonstrated by Imam Hussain (AS) are as relevant today as they were more than fourteen centuries ago.

The gathering included recitations from the Holy Quran, elegies, and prayers commemorating the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (AS), his family members, and companions in the plains of Karbala.
