CALGARY, Alberta — The Pakistan Canada Association (PCA) has officially announced plans for one of Calgary’s largest Pakistan Independence Day celebrations, inviting businesses, organizations, and community leaders to become sponsors and partners for the upcoming event scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, at Prairie Winds Park, Calgary.

According to the promotional announcement released by the association, the celebration will commemorate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day and is expected to attract between 5,000 and 8,000 community members from Calgary and surrounding areas. Organizers say the event aims to bring together families from diverse backgrounds in a festive atmosphere celebrating Pakistan’s national heritage while strengthening multicultural ties within the Canadian community.

The festivities are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until 10:00 p.m. at Prairie Winds Park, one of Calgary’s popular outdoor venues for major cultural and community gatherings.

As part of the announcement, the Pakistan Canada Association has launched a sponsorship campaign under the theme “Looking for Sponsors – Be a Proud Partner in Calgary’s Largest Pakistan Independence Day Celebration.” The association is encouraging local businesses, corporations, community organizations, and entrepreneurs to support the event through various sponsorship and advertising opportunities.

Organizers say sponsorship offers businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and services directly to thousands of attendees while demonstrating support for community engagement and multicultural celebrations. The association notes that participation will also help businesses expand their visibility and establish long-term relationships within Calgary’s growing Pakistani-Canadian community.

The sponsorship package outlined in the announcement includes several promotional opportunities. Businesses can advertise on the event’s digital LED stage screen, allowing company logos and advertisements to remain visible throughout the celebration. Sponsors will also receive exposure through the Pakistan Canada Association’s official social media platforms before, during, and after the event to enhance online engagement.

In addition, companies will have the opportunity to set up business booths, providing direct interaction with visitors and allowing businesses to showcase products and services to thousands of attendees. Sponsors will also receive recognition through stage announcements, with acknowledgements made during the event’s live program.

The association says the sponsorship initiative is designed to help businesses increase brand visibility, connect with Calgary’s culturally diverse population, promote products and services, and contribute to a meaningful cultural celebration.

The announcement emphasizes that community support will play an important role in making the Independence Day celebration a success, highlighting the event’s message of unity, pride, and heritage. Organizers describe the celebration as a platform that promotes cultural understanding while bringing together Pakistani-Canadians and the wider Calgary community.

Individuals and businesses interested in sponsorship or advertising opportunities have been asked to contact the Pakistan Canada Association through the following numbers:

403-402-7869
403-399-9044

The association has also encouraged supporters to reserve advertising space as early as possible, noting that sponsorship opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will feature Pakistan’s national colours alongside Canada’s, reflecting the strong friendship between the two countries and the contributions of the Pakistani-Canadian community to Calgary’s multicultural landscape.
