Government of Ontario presents Letter of Merit and Recognition to renowned psychiatrist Dr Khalid Sohail

A Book Launch and Farewell Celebration was held at Toronto – Canada on Saturday August 1st 2026. FOTH ( Family of the Heart) a literary and creative organization) organised the event.
The book ; Creative Birth contains 61 stories of the individuals who received psychotherapeutic treatment from Dr Khalid Sohail’s in the past years . The event was attended by members of the FOTH, members of civil society and representatives of Government of Ontario. Dr Khalid Sohail who moderated the event introduced the speakers. A renowned writer , social commentator and thinker Arshed Mehmood (Tassawar e Khuda fame) visiting from Pakistan and Naeem Ashraf ( writer , translator) visiting from Alberta also addressed on the occasion. Mr Shahid Akhtar, Dr Sara Ali , Cyndi Tara and Naeem Ashraf reviewed the Book : Creative Birth , stories of hope healing and growth. Mr Eric and Rintu Bhatia’s singing filled the ambience with melodious colours. Towards the closing, Ms Michelle, a representative of the Government of Ontario presented the Certificate of Merit to Dr Khalid Sohail on behalf Mr Doug Ford , the premier of Ontario. The event culminated with a tribute to Dr Khalid Sohail for his love , care and compassion for ailing humanity.
