More than twenty years after a young man disappeared in Calgary, investigators are once again asking the public for help in a case that remains unresolved and deeply concerning.

Calgary Police Service has renewed its public appeal for information regarding Clayton Condos, who was 20 years old when he was last seen in March 2006.

Clayton was last seen on Monday, March 20, 2006, in the northwest Calgary community of Brentwood near Brentwood Village Shopping Centre.

Since that day, investigators say there has been no confirmed communication, no verified sightings and no reliable activity connected to him.

The complete absence of contact over such a long period has led investigators to treat the disappearance as suspicious.

Police emphasize that even after two decades, the case remains active and important.

Historical investigations are regularly revisited because advances in forensic science, digital analysis and case review methods can create opportunities that were not available when the disappearance first occurred.

Cold cases often change when old evidence is reviewed using newer technology.

Investigators say even small details that may once have appeared insignificant can become important when combined with fresh analysis.

In long term disappearances, witness memories, archived records and previously overlooked timelines can all produce valuable new leads.

The Brentwood area where Clayton was last seen is one of northwest Calgary’s busiest residential and commercial zones, with steady public movement and transport links.

That makes the absence of clear follow up sightings especially troubling in the context of the investigation.

Police have not released extensive case details publicly, but they continue to state that suspicious circumstances remain part of their working assessment.

Investigators handling historical files often review prior interviews, movement records, old communications and location patterns to rebuild timelines with modern tools.

Families and investigators in such cases often describe the passage of time as emotionally difficult because uncertainty remains constant.

For police, the goal remains the same regardless of how many years pass: determine what happened, establish accountability if criminal activity occurred, and provide answers.

Authorities stress that public memory still matters.

Someone may remember a conversation, a vehicle, a meeting, or an unusual event connected to March 2006 that did not seem important at the time.

As years pass, people also sometimes become more willing to speak than they were during an earlier investigation.

Cold case investigators frequently note that one delayed tip can reopen an entire line of inquiry.

Police continue encouraging anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward.

A detail forgotten for years can sometimes become the missing piece that investigators need.

The message from investigators remains clear: no case is abandoned, and no missing person is forgotten.

Even after more than twenty years, the search for answers continues in Clayton’s case with the same seriousness applied when he first disappeared.
