Police in Calgary are investigating a targeted shooting that took place early Sunday morning outside a northeast casino.
According to the Calgary Police Service, officers responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 12, 2026, to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of a casino located at 40 Aero Crescent N.E.
When officers arrived on scene, the suspects had already fled the area. One adult male victim was located and transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Investigators say no arrests have been made so far, but early findings suggest the incident was targeted. Police have reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to community safety.
The shooting remains under active investigation as officers work to identify those responsible.
Police officials emphasized that addressing gun violence continues to be a priority, noting ongoing efforts focused on investigation, prevention, and enforcement to reduce crime and protect residents.
