CALGARY, October 31, 2026: The Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association of Alberta (PCCA) is bringing community members together for an important discussion on multiculturalism, political participation and inclusive democracy through its Community Dialogue Series.
The program, titled “Beyond the Ballot: Politics in a Multicultural Society,” is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the 1000 Voices Room, D105, The Genesis Centre, located at 7555 Falconridge Boulevard NE in Calgary.
The discussion aims to explore how people from different cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds can participate in the political process and contribute to building a more inclusive democratic society. The initiative will provide a platform for exchanging ideas, understanding diverse perspectives and encouraging meaningful community engagement.
Under the theme Beyond the Ballot, the event will focus on the importance of political representation beyond election campaigns and voting. It will highlight how community participation, public discussion and mutual understanding can strengthen democratic values and ensure that diverse voices are heard in society.
The organizers have identified three key objectives for the gathering: exploring diverse perspectives, fostering inclusive democracy and building stronger community understanding.
The event is being organized by the Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association of Alberta, which continues to promote community engagement, cultural understanding and opportunities for dialogue among Canadians from diverse backgrounds.
The program is open to everyone, and admission is free. Organizers have also announced that the event will be broadcast live on social media, allowing people who cannot attend in person to follow the discussion. Refreshments will be provided for attendees.
