Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan: Force of the Forest continued its theatrical run with a collection of approximately Rs 2 crore on its second Saturday in India.
The film recorded a decline of around 40 per cent compared with its second Friday earnings, taking its total domestic net collection to approximately Rs 55 crore.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, The Vvaan is expected to finish its second weekend with collections in the range of Rs 8 crore to Rs 9 crore. If the trend continues, the film could reach around Rs 58 crore to Rs 59 crore in India by the end of the weekend.
The film has shown signs of stability after a relatively modest start and has performed particularly well in Bihar. Its storyline, which incorporates elements of Chhath Puja and local traditions, appears to have helped it connect with audiences in the region.
However, the film faces a significant challenge from Drishyam 3, which has maintained a strong presence at the box office. The competition has affected the pace of The Vvaan during its second weekend and reduced its chances of achieving a stronger theatrical verdict.
Based on current estimates, the movie is tracking toward an average box office result. A stronger hold during the second weekend could have improved its prospects of moving into hit territory, particularly given that its performance appeared uncertain before its theatrical release.
The film’s estimated daily net collections in India currently stand at Rs 49.75 crore during its first week, followed by Rs 3.25 crore on its second Friday and Rs 2 crore on its second Saturday.
This brings the estimated total to Rs 55 crore.
The Vvaan: Force of the Forest follows Rishi, played by Sidharth Malhotra, an engineer who travels with his wife to his ancestral village in Bihar to resolve a family property dispute. What begins as a personal matter soon becomes connected to a larger conflict involving a sacred forest and a development project.
As Rishi becomes increasingly involved in the mystery surrounding the forest, the story combines mythology, family drama and supernatural elements. He is eventually forced to confront his destiny while attempting to protect the village and restore a balance between nature and faith.
Tamannaah Bhatia stars alongside Malhotra, while the supporting cast includes Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul.
The film’s performance in the coming days will determine whether it can maintain its momentum after its second weekend. Its ability to withstand competition from major releases will be particularly important as it continues its theatrical journey.
For a film that initially faced doubts about its box office prospects, reaching the Rs 55 crore mark represents a notable turnaround. The next phase of its run will now depend on weekday stability and how strongly audiences continue to respond to its mix of mythology, folklore and commercial entertainment.
