We continue to investigate reports of an indecent act that occurred at a school in the city’s southwest last week.

At approximately 10 a.m., on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, police were called to the Braeside School, located at 1747 107 Ave. S.W., for reports that an unknown man had allegedly exposed himself to a group of students outside of the school. The students notified school staff who contacted police. It was also reported that the suspect grabbed one of the students by their arm. It is unclear if the suspect was attempting to harm the student.

The suspect fled prior to police arrival, and after conducting interviews with multiple witnesses, investigators are turning to the public for their help in hopes of advancing the investigation.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s, with short, dark hair. He was seen wearing a dark hooded top with the hood pulled up, black pants, dark shoes and carrying a light-coloured backpack with pockets.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has doorbell camera footage near the school to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
