Man charged in commercial break and enter

Members of the District 6 General Investigations Unit have charged a man who is believed to be responsible for the theft of industrial equipment and copper wire, collectively valued at $255,000.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, when three suspects gained entry into Crypto Therm Manufacturing Inc., located at 7525 51 St. S.E. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.

As the investigation progressed over several months, investigators were able to identify one of the suspects through DNA analysis and on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, one man was arrested in the 7600 block of 23 Street S.E.

As a result, Tyler John FERRIS, 54, has been charged with one count of break and enter to commit. He is scheduled to next appear in court on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
