Malaysia Envoy Highlights Strong Pakistan Ties During Peshawar Visit

The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, His Excellency Dato’ Muhammad Azhar Mazlan, has said that Pakistan and Malaysia share deep, strong, and friendly relations and are actively working together for economic development and mutual cooperation.

He made these remarks during his visit to the China Cultural Center, “China Window,” in Peshawar.

On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Mr. Amjad Aziz Malak, Director of China Window Peshawar, along with the management team and staff. The Director greeted the distinguished guest and briefed him about the objectives and cultural significance of the center.

During the visit, the High Commissioner toured various galleries of the China Window, appreciated the exhibitions, signed the Friendship Wall, and wrote his impressions in the guest book.

Speaking to the media, he said that in the current international situation, Pakistan is playing a very important and constructive role, which is being widely recognized around the world. He added that global attention is focused on Pakistan and there is confidence in its efforts to help reduce tensions and promote peace.

He further said that Peshawar is a peaceful and welcoming city, and he was very pleased to visit and experience its hospitality and cultural richness.

Emphasizing bilateral relations, he noted that Pakistan and Malaysia are close partners connected through shared values, mutual respect, and strong people-to-people linkages. He said cooperation between the two countries continues to expand in trade, education, tourism, and cultural exchange.

Regarding economic cooperation, he highlighted important opportunities in the halal industry, agriculture, and green energy sectors. He said both countries are committed to increasing trade volume and expanding investment opportunities for mutual benefit.

He also stressed the importance of collaboration in education and media, saying that stronger institutional ties are needed to enhance mutual understanding. He appreciated the role of media in strengthening relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.

Referring to historical and cultural ties, he said that both countries share similar perspectives on key regional and global issues, and their diplomatic relations continue to grow stronger over time.

At the end of his visit, he described China Window Peshawar as a unique and valuable cultural platform promoting Pakistan-China friendship. He expressed hope that regional countries will continue working together for peace, stability, and stronger cooperation for the benefit of their people.
