Edmonton Celebrates Sikh Heritage Month with Inspiring Evening of Art, Music and Culture

An evening celebrating culture, creativity, and community spirit brought people together at the Queen Elizabeth II Building as Sikh Heritage Month was marked through a special Art, Music & Culture event in Edmonton.

Organized in collaboration between the Calgary-Falconridge constituency office and The Universal Radio, the Friday evening gathering highlighted the rich history, vibrant traditions, and lasting contributions of the Sikh community across Alberta and Canada. The event created a welcoming atmosphere where families, artists, community leaders, and residents came together to celebrate diversity, heritage, and multicultural unity.

The event was attended by MLA Parmeet Singh Boparai as a special guest, who joined community members in recognizing the importance of Sikh Heritage Month and celebrating the values of inclusion, unity, and cultural appreciation.

Guests enjoyed an inspiring showcase of artwork, music, and cultural expression presented by talented featured artists whose work reflected the beauty, identity, and traditions of Sikh culture. The artistic presentations added color and emotion to the evening and were warmly appreciated by attendees.

Special recognition was given to artists including Ravin Artoor, Imrin Sidhu, Parm Singh, and Suminder Kaur for sharing their creative talents and helping make the celebration memorable for the community.

Organizers also extended heartfelt thanks to Sapreet B for coordinating the event so successfully, along with appreciation to every volunteer, supporter, artist, and community member who attended and contributed to the evening’s positive spirit and energy.

The celebration reflected the growing strength of multicultural engagement in Alberta and the importance of recognizing the traditions and achievements of communities that continue to shape Canada’s diverse social and cultural landscape.
