Calgary Police Service is asking the public for assistance in identifying two suspects believed to be connected to a violent robbery and assault that left a man seriously injured in downtown Calgary.

The incident happened on October 3, 2025, when emergency responders were called to an alley behind Palomino Smokehouse at approximately 11:20 in the morning.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his forties suffering from severe medical distress. He was immediately transported to hospital in life threatening condition.

Investigators later determined that the victim had been assaulted in the alley before his personal belongings were stolen.

Police believe two suspects left the area shortly after the attack, moving east along Seventh Avenue southwest.

The victim suffered serious injuries during the assault but has since recovered following medical treatment.

After reviewing evidence and carrying out several investigative steps, police are now seeking help from the public to identify both suspects.

The first suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old with short dark hair, a moustache and a large tattoo visible on the back of his left hand.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey zip up hoodie, a dark green Reebok shirt, jeans and black and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a woman between 25 and 35 years old with long brown hair and a slim build.

She was wearing a black puffy coat, black pants, a grey shirt and white shoes when last seen near the scene.

Police say identifying the two individuals is an important next step in advancing the case and understanding the events that led to the assault.

Investigators continue to review available evidence and encourage anyone who may recognize the descriptions or who was in the downtown area at that time to come forward.

Authorities believe public information may help connect the remaining details needed to move the investigation forward and locate those involved.
