Calgary: Calgary police have charged four individuals following an investigation into stolen goods being sold online, which led to the seizure of drugs, a firearm, and multiple stolen items.
Investigation began with online listings
The case was launched in early April 2026 when the Calgary Police Service’s Online Stolen Property Team identified suspected stolen merchandise being advertised on Facebook Marketplace.
Investigators linked the items to a recent break and enter and traced the activity to a residence in the northeast community of Martin Crossing.
Search warrant uncovers drugs and weapon
On April 15, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at the identified residence. During the search, police recovered:
- Various stolen items
- A pistol-grip shotgun
- 143 grams of fentanyl
- 3.6 grams of methamphetamine
- 3.4 grams of psilocybin
- Drug trafficking paraphernalia
Authorities say the seizure highlights the overlap between property crime and drug trafficking operations.
Charges laid against four individuals
Brittany Nicole Lalonde, 40, faces:
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- One count of possession of a controlled substance
She is scheduled to appear in court on May 22, 2026.
Andrew Warren Atkins, 39, faces:
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- One count of possession of a controlled substance
He is scheduled to appear in court on April 29, 2026.
Kimberly Grace Mielke, 28, was arrested on 11 outstanding warrants and charged with:
- One count of failure to comply with conditions of a release order
She is scheduled to appear in court on April 30, 2026.
Aaron Flynn, 39, was arrested on 12 outstanding warrants and is scheduled to appear in court on May 25, 2026.
Police highlight growing trend
Investigators say online platforms are increasingly being used to sell stolen property, making digital marketplaces a key focus for enforcement efforts.
Police are urging the public to exercise caution when purchasing items online and to report suspicious listings.
