Salman Ali Agha reflects on President’s Trophy triple century

Pakistan all rounder Salman Ali Agha made a spectacular return to domestic cricket, producing one of the most memorable innings of his career with an unbeaten triple century for Kingsmen Academy in the President’s Trophy Grade I.

Playing against MIT Solutions at Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Agha remained unbeaten on 300 from 336 deliveries as Kingsmen Academy declared their innings at 565 for seven.

The right handed batter dominated the bowling attack throughout his marathon stay at the crease, striking 42 boundaries and six sixes. His remarkable innings provided a timely response after a difficult period in international cricket, where Agha acknowledged that his recent performances had fallen below his own expectations.

The triple century was not only a personal landmark but also an important confidence boost for the Pakistan international.

Agha revealed that he had made some small technical changes to his batting before returning to domestic competition. Those adjustments, he said, helped him regain confidence and rediscover the rhythm that had been missing during his recent international appearances.

Suleman provided excellent support, scoring 115 from 219 balls with 13 boundaries and two sixes. Together, the two batters added a crucial 274 runs for the fourth wicket.

Their partnership took Kingsmen Academy from a difficult 72 for three to 346 before the innings continued to develop into a commanding total.

Agha’s patience was one of the defining features of his performance. Instead of chasing quick runs or becoming distracted by the possibility of reaching a major landmark, he concentrated on playing each delivery according to the situation.

That methodical approach eventually carried him beyond a double century and towards one of the biggest individual scores in the competition.
