PESHAWAR: The Sports Writers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa marked World Sports Journalists Day with a dignified and memorable ceremony at the Media Centre of Qayyum Stadium, bringing together renowned sports personalities, veteran journalists, and members of the sports fraternity to recognize the invaluable role of sports journalists in promoting athletics and preserving the history of sports.

The event was attended by former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports and former President of the KP Olympic Association, Syed Aqil Shah, former World Squash Champion Qamar Zaman, the President of the Sports Writers Association KP, and several distinguished guests from the sporting community. Sports journalists from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated in large numbers, reflecting the unity and commitment of the province’s sports media.
