We are investigating a collision involving a CTrain and a pedestrian that occurred early this morning.

At approximately 6 a.m., today, Saturday, June 27, 2026, a man was walking on the east platform of Westbrook LRT Station, when he fell onto the tracks. Approximately two minutes later, an inbound CTrain entered the station and struck the man.

The man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where he remains.

Impairment, on the part of the pedestrian, is being investigated as a factor in this collision. Excessive speed of the CTrain was not a factor in this collision.

At this time, the identity of the pedestrian is unknown.
