Police in Calgary are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery in the northeast community of Rundle.
The incident occurred on January 27, 2026, after a victim arranged to meet a man he had connected with through a dating app. According to investigators, the meeting took place at a residence in northeast Calgary.
During the encounter, the suspect allegedly produced a handgun and demanded cash. The victim complied, after which the suspect fled the scene. No physical injuries were reported, but the incident has raised concerns about safety when meeting individuals through online platforms.
Police have identified the suspect as Ramone Alex Dacres, 29, who is now wanted on charges of robbery with a firearm. Authorities say efforts to locate him have so far been unsuccessful.
Investigators believe the suspect may have connections to Ontario, and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
