The Pakistan Canada Association (PCA) Calgary is preparing to celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day on March 23 at Pakistan House Calgary. This event is organized to mark the historic day when the Lahore Resolution was passed in 1940, which later led to the creation of Pakistan. Every year, the Pakistani community around the world commemorates this day to remember the vision and struggle of the leaders who worked for an independent homeland.
While speaking with BW Times, the General Secretary of PCA Calgary, Noman Mushtaq, explained how the organizing team has carefully designed the program to make the celebration meaningful and memorable for the community. He said the event will begin with the national anthem of Pakistan, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the historic occasion.
A cultural exhibition will also be arranged to highlight Pakistani heritage, traditions, and national history. Hassan Nawab, Vice President of PCA Calgary, is personally overseeing all preparations to ensure the event is well organized and memorable for attendees.
The organizers expect the participation of many government representatives, community leaders, and members of the Pakistani community in Calgary. The gathering aims to promote unity, celebrate Pakistani identity, and remind the younger generation about the historical importance of March 23 in the journey toward the creation of Pakistan.
