Chelsea O’Donnell, the daughter of comedian and television personality Rosie O’Donnell, is facing fresh allegations following a recent probation violation that led to jail time in Wisconsin.
According to documents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Chelsea, 28, has been accused of sexually assaulting a man during an incident in which she was reportedly driving a vehicle. The report states that she allegedly reached into the backseat and groped the thigh and genitals of a male passenger.
Authorities claim the situation escalated after the man made it clear he was not interested. The report alleges that after being rejected, Chelsea became upset and began driving erratically, failing to pay proper attention to the road. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
The allegation reportedly surfaced as part of a corrections department report connected to her probation case. In October, Chelsea had already been sentenced to jail time following a probation violation, though the specific details were not publicly clarified at the time.
The corrections report also noted that she showed minimal progress in a court-ordered addiction treatment program. Over the years, Rosie O’Donnell has spoken publicly about her daughter’s struggles with substance abuse and mental health challenges.
Rosie adopted Chelsea in 1997, and the two have experienced a strained relationship for much of Chelsea’s adult life. In early 2025, Chelsea filed paperwork seeking to change her last name to Neuens, the maiden name of her biological mother, Deanna Micoley. The move reportedly followed family tensions, including her exclusion from Rosie’s estate plans.
At this time, the exact length of Chelsea’s sentence remains unclear, and it is not confirmed whether she is currently incarcerated or has been released. The situation continues to develop as more information becomes available.
