42nd Jalsa Salana Western Canada 2026 to Welcome Guests at Calgary’s Genesis Centre

Calgary, Alberta — The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at has announced that the 42nd Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) Western Canada 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Genesis Centre, located at 7555 Falconridge Boulevard NE, Calgary, Alberta. The annual convention is expected to bring together members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and guests from across Western Canada for a day of spiritual reflection, community engagement, and fellowship. The broader convention is scheduled for August 8–9, 2026.

Held under the theme of promoting faith, unity, and peace, the convention has been organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Calgary and continues a tradition that has been observed by the community for well over a century. According to the organizers, the primary objectives of Jalsa Salana are to strengthen the spiritual lives of participants, enhance religious understanding, encourage brotherhood and mutual respect, and promote peace within society.

The invitation states that the official program on Saturday, August 8, will begin with Guests Arrival at 4:00 p.m., followed by the Formal Session at 4:30 p.m., while Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Genesis Centre, one of Calgary’s premier multi-purpose facilities in the city’s northeast.

Organizers note that Jalsa Salana has been held in numerous countries around the world for more than a century and attracts tens of thousands of participants annually. The gathering serves as a platform for spiritual development, community building, and meaningful dialogue, while also introducing visitors to the teachings of Islam as understood by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Exhibitions, educational displays, guided guest tours, and opportunities for respectful discussion are also planned during the convention.
