CALGARY, August 14, 2026 — The Pakistan Canada Association (PCA) Calgary has announced an important venue change for its 79th Pakistan Independence Day Celebration 2026, scheduled for today, Friday, August 14.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, the previously planned outdoor celebration at Prairie Winds Park, NE Calgary, has been relocated to an indoor venue to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of community members and families attending the event.

Time: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM

PCA Calgary has urged all community members, families and guests who planned to attend the Independence Day celebration to take note of the new venue and make their way directly to Dera Banquet Hall.

The celebration will continue with the spirit and enthusiasm originally planned, providing the Pakistani Canadian community an opportunity to come together and celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day, culture and heritage.

The event is expected to feature cultural activities, national songs, entertainment, food and family-oriented festivities, bringing together community members from across Calgary.
