The Pakistan Canada Association (PCA) Calgary has announced a special Eid ul Adha Chand Raat Women’s Special Evening to celebrate the upcoming Eid festivities with members of the community in Calgary.
According to organizers, the celebration will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM at PCA Hall, located at 507-509, 4656 Westwinds Drive NE, Calgary.
The event is being organized exclusively for women and will feature free Mehndi (Henna) application, complimentary snacks, and a festive cultural atmosphere ahead of Eid celebrations. Organizers stated that entry to the event will remain free through registration only.
PCA Calgary officials said the Chand Raat gathering aims to provide women from the community with an opportunity to celebrate traditional Eid customs, strengthen social connections, and promote cultural harmony within Calgary’s multicultural environment.
The event is being coordinated by Saima Arshed, PR Director PCA Calgary, and Madiha Sheikh, PCA Admin Assistant. Community members interested in attending the event may contact Saima Arshed at 403-402-0969 or Madiha Sheikh at 587-700-4488 for registration and additional information.
Chand Raat celebrations are widely observed among Muslim and South Asian communities around the world as a joyful evening before Eid, traditionally marked with Mehndi, festive gatherings, shopping, food, and family celebrations.
