The internationally acclaimed artist announced the news in a video shared on her Instagram account, revealing that she will debut a brand-new FIFA anthem during the highly anticipated event.

“This is the second time I’m going to be performing at the World Cup,” Fatehi said. “This time, I’m going to be singing another FIFA anthem, which we will be releasing very soon.”

“I used to always tell myself that I’m not going back to Toronto to perform unless it’s something massive and huge,” she said. “And it’s finally happening.”

The opening ceremony marks a homecoming for the performer, who has built a global fan base through hit songs, film appearances and live performances around the world.

Second FIFA World Cup Performance

This will be Fatehi’s second appearance at a FIFA World Cup event. She previously performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where she joined Balqees, Rahma Riad, Manal and RedOne for the anthem “Light the Sky.”

Her upcoming anthem for the 2026 tournament is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

Global Success Story

After moving to India in her early twenties, Nora Fatehi rose to fame with chart-topping dance hits such as:
