Calgary Police Service is requesting public assistance to identify two suspects linked to a shooting that took place in the northeast area of Calgary and left two young men seriously injured.
Investigators say the incident happened in the early morning hours of August 8, 2025, in the 100 block of Tarawood Grove N.E. At approximately 2:29 a.m., two men were believed to be leaving a vehicle outside a residence when a newer black truck arrived at the location.
According to police, two suspects stepped out of the truck and opened fire, discharging multiple rounds toward the victims before quickly fleeing the area.
Both victims, men in their twenties, suffered gunshot wounds and were rushed to hospital in life threatening condition. Authorities later confirmed that both survived the attack and their conditions have since improved to stable as recovery continues.
Police say extensive investigative work has already been carried out over several months, including witness interviews and evidence review, but detectives have now reached a stage where public cooperation is considered important for identifying those responsible.
The first suspect is described as a man with a medium build wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt at the time of the shooting.
The second suspect is described as a woman with a slim build who was also wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt.
Investigators believe the suspects left the scene in the same black truck used to arrive at the location. Officers have not yet released the licence plate details but say the vehicle may help connect new information.
The shooting remains under active investigation as police continue examining possible motives and links connected to the targeted attack.
Authorities say photographs of both suspects and the vehicle have been made available through official city channels in hopes that someone may recognize key details.
Police continue urging anyone who may have been in the area during that time or who has information about the suspects or vehicle to come forward, as even small details could assist investigators in moving the case forward.
