Investigators are renewing their appeal for information in the disappearance and death of David-Alexandre Beliveau, whose remains have now been identified after he was reported missing in September 2021.

Beliveau, 40, was last seen in the Shaganappi area of Calgary on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at approximately 4 p.m. Authorities believe he was the victim of foul play and are asking anyone with information to come forward to help provide answers to his family.

According to investigators, Beliveau’s family has been waiting for closure since his disappearance more than four years ago. Police say members of the public may hold key information that could assist in advancing the investigation.

At the time he went missing, Beliveau was described as 5’7” tall and approximately 185 pounds, with a medium build, green eyes, a bald head and a brown beard.

He had several distinctive tattoos that could help identify him, including:

  • Three monkeys on his back
  • A lion on his right bicep
  • A pair of dice on his left hand
  • A happy face on his right hand
  • The word “MOTIVATION” in capital letters on the inside of his left forearm
  • The number “7” on his left calf
  • A “Z” on his right elbow
  • A map of Quebec with a pin marking Montreal on his ribs

When he was last seen, Beliveau was wearing a black baseball cap with a white emblem, a medium-blue golf shirt and dark-blue shorts.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and subsequent death. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Beliveau on September 4, 2021, or who has information about his movements or associates around that time, to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Officials stress that even small details could prove critical in determining what happened and ensuring accountability.
