The Calgary Police Commission is hosting its February Regular Meeting today, Feb. 25, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with members of the public and media invited to attend the open session.

Regular meetings of the Commission are divided into two segments: a public portion and a private portion. During the public session, commissioners engage in discussions with leadership from the Calgary Police Service (CPS), review operational updates, and hear feedback from community members.

The private portion of the meeting is reserved for confidential matters. These discussions typically involve police conduct complaint investigations, personnel-related issues, and other sensitive topics that cannot be addressed in an open forum.

This month’s public agenda includes several key updates. The Chair of the Commission is scheduled to provide an overview of governance matters and current priorities. The Chief of Police will deliver a leadership update outlining operational developments and strategic initiatives.

Commissioners will also receive community safety updates from the Bureau of Community Policing, highlighting outreach efforts, neighbourhood engagement, and crime prevention initiatives across Calgary. In addition, the Bureau of Investigative Support will present crime trend data and enforcement updates, offering insight into ongoing investigative priorities.

Written reports and presentation materials for the public portion of the meeting have been made available through the Commission’s official website, allowing residents to review documentation in advance.

The monthly meeting provides a structured platform for transparency and oversight, enabling public engagement in policing governance while ensuring accountability in areas requiring confidential review.
