As the blessed month of Ramadan moves toward its final days, communities everywhere continue the beautiful tradition of gathering for Iftar. During this sacred time, friends, relatives, community leaders, and political representatives come together to share a meal, strengthen unity, and celebrate the values of compassion and togetherness that Ramadan teaches.

In this spirit of community and inclusion, the Alberta New Democratic Party is hosting a special Iftar dinner in Calgary on March 12 at the Sultan Banquet Hall. The gathering will bring together members of the Muslim community, local residents, and supporters from across the city.

The event will be attended by several provincial leaders of the NDP, including Members of the Legislative Assembly elected from Calgary. Their participation reflects the party’s commitment to engaging with diverse communities and strengthening relationships with Muslim residents across Alberta.

This Iftar is open not only to party supporters but to all members of the Muslim community who wish to share in the blessings of Ramadan. Community members are warmly invited to attend this evening of unity, dialogue, and reflection while breaking the fast together. 🌙🍽️
