A vibrant Eid and Food Festival is set to take place in Calgary on March 27 at Falconridge Community Hall, running from 3 pm to 10 pm, as the community comes together to celebrate the joyous occasion following the holy month of Ramadan. The event is being organized with the support of She Leads Foundation, aiming to provide a welcoming and festive environment for families across the city.
Speaking to BW Times, Javeria, president of the foundation, shared details about the preparations and vision behind the event. She noted that the festival is designed to bring people together in a spirit of unity, celebration, and cultural appreciation. According to her, there are still a couple of stall spaces available for vendors who wish to participate, offering an opportunity for local businesses and home-based entrepreneurs to showcase their products and food items.
The festival promises a lively atmosphere with a wide variety of food stalls featuring traditional and contemporary dishes, reflecting the diverse backgrounds within Calgary’s community. In addition to food, there will be activities and entertainment specially arranged for children, ensuring families can enjoy the evening together. خواتین are also expected to take active part in shopping and social activities, making the event inclusive and engaging for all.
Organizers expect a strong turnout, with many families looking forward to celebrating Eid in a communal setting after Ramadan. The event will not only highlight cultural traditions but also strengthen community bonds, offering an evening filled with food, fun, and festive spirit for everyone in attendance.
